1. Andrew Hill HS plaza and gardens complete and opened up for students to use.

2. Garden completed for the new the new guest house for visiting VIP’s at Stanford

3. Hiddebrooke Park in Vallejo was dedicated in April.

4. 2015 turned out to be a year with many projects related to Eichler homes:

The landscape rehabilitation at the original Eichler Homes headquarters in Palo Alto was completed and we are very pleased with how the work turned out. The project was recognized with a Merit Award from the Northern California ASLA and a Preservation Design Award from the California Preservation Foundation.

We planned several gardens for Eichler homes across the Bay Area, including the renovation of atriums in unique A. Quincy Jones designed multiple unit building in Palo Alto and the restoration plan for the famous X100, the experimental steel frame Eichler in San Mateo.

5. Landscape renovation completed for the San Pablo Civic Center

6. Santa Fe a Union Park in Richmond opened in July. The project was recognized with a Community Appreciation Award, an Award of Excellence the Mayor, and as a result of this and other work, VDA was named Richmond’s Business of the Year for volunteerism and crime prevention!

7. We recently completed the schematic design phase for Unity Park in Richmond. Community design workshops generated exciting ideas for this ambitious new 7.5 acre park and greenway site.  Construction drawings have commenced and we are looking forward to seeing the first phases built in 2016.

8. Kennedy Park, Richmond – In collaboration with the Trust for Public Lands we developed community build projects for an all volunteer construction day. Over 400 people attended the event and the results were amazing.

9. Collaboration continued with DFA Architects and Design Within Reach. Plans were developed for stores in Scottsdale, Palo Alto, Atlanta, and Paramus, New Jersey.

10. Hilltop Signage – Working with the Hilltop Neighborhood Business Improvement District, we designed and developed construction plans for dramatic new gateways. Thsi is another project that we are looking forward to seeing built in 2016.
