SOUTHSIDE COMMUNITY PARK
RICHMOND, CA
Southside Community Park is the primary recreational facility servicing the Santa Fe neighborhood in Richmond, California. Its rehabilitation is crucial to meeting the recreational needs of local residents. Located between 2nd and 7th Streets and I-580 and Maine Avenue, the existing park site was enlarged to incorporate remnant land parcels created by the construction of Interstate 580. The facility includes a community building, play and picnic areas, trails, lighting, and lawns. All elements of the park are designed to balance maximum aesthetics, ease of maintenance and vandal resistance.
