LUCRETIA W. EDWARDS SHORELINE PARK
RICHMOND, CALIFORNIA

Lucretia W. Edwards Shoreline Park is a two-acre park located on the San Francisco Bay in the Marina Bay Neighborhood of Richmond, California.  Bounded by the Richmond Marina and office/commercial development, the park is part of a larger system of trails and parks that ring the Richmond Marina and connect to the 240-mile San Francisco Bay Trail.

Design for the park was developed with the participation of public artist, Wang Po Shu, through the City of Richmond’s Percent and a Half for the Arts Program. The park design highlights the area’s wartime past by articulating the contributions of the Bay Area’s shipyards to the war effort.  The overall landscaping and art elements trigger the curiosity of the visitor by providing a gentle discovery of the shipyard history of this site.
