Vallier Design Associates, Inc. is celebrating the new year by welcoming JC Miller on board as a new Principal and Partner. JC joins us from Miller Studio Landscape Architecture bringing with him over 18 years of experience in landscape architecture, design education and design research. He is a passionate designer, avid writer and a mid-century design enthusiast. Currently, he is also the Program Director for the U.C. Berkeley Extension Landscape Architecture Program. His publications include Modern Public Gardens: Robert Royston and the Suburban Park, co-written with Reuben Rainey which brings to light the innovative park design work of the late Robert Royston. Mr. Royston was a nationally known figure and both JC and Marcia started their careers in the office he founded; Royston Hanamoto Alley & Abey (RHAA). Working with Mr. Royston was deeply gratifying and they acknowledge his strong influence to this day. As their careers progressed, both JC and Marcia eventually parted ways with RHAA to start their own firms. Now, they are joining forces at Vallier Design Associates, Inc. to provide even better services to our clients.

We are also excited to announce the launch of our new responsive website designed and developed by Christina Jirachachavalwong, Graphic and Interactive Designer. Please have a look around and come back often to read our process blog, where we will keep you up to date with news about our firm, projects and other inspirations along the way.
